Thorvald
Thorvald is a modular, autonomous electric robot platform for agricultural applications, primarily UV-C light treatment to combat powdery mildew in tabletop strawberries and grapevines. The platform operates at night, delivering targeted UV-C light to disrupt fungal DNA replication without chemical residues, and is equipped with cameras for yield prediction and disease detection data services.
Current platform
Thorvald
Saga Robotics' Thorvald is a modular, autonomous, electric farm robot for open fields, polytunnels, and vineyards; its best-known application is autonomous UV-C light treatment that disrupts powdery-mildew DNA, and it also performs flower/fruit counts, predatory-mite dispensing, and runner cutting.
