Its Neuroport Array (Utah Array) has been implanted in more human patients than any other BCI — 28 of 30+ human BCI pioneers worldwide use Blackrock technology.
Founded 2008, spun from University of Utah research. FDA-cleared Neuroport Array with ~100 electrodes per device, 7+ year implant lifetime. Tether invested $200M in April 2024 to accelerate commercialization.
