Samsung Galaxy Ring
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is a smart ring that collects biometric data including heart rate, skin temperature, sleep tracking, and activity metrics. Samsung's Data Terms require biometric information to be encrypted in transit and at rest; its Galaxy Wearable privacy notice acknowledges data may be sold under the CCPA definition and shared with service providers and analytics partners for marketing. Sold at $399.
Current platform
Samsung Jet Bot AI+
The Samsung Jet Bot AI+ is an autonomous robot vacuum manufactured by Samsung Electronics and released in 2021. It pairs a LiDAR sensor with an Intel AI chip for real-time recognition and avoidance of over 50 household object types. The vacuum delivers 30 watts of suction power and integrates with Samsung's SmartThings platform for voice control via Bixby and coordination with other Samsung home appliances. Home maps including floor plans, room layouts, and device placements are generated through SmartThings Map View. A Clean Station docking base provides automatic dust emptying with a sealed HEPA bag. Camera footage from cleaning sessions may be processed via SmartThings servers.

Ballie
Rolling home companion robot with AI, camera, and projector. Follows users, controls smart home devices, displays content on walls. CES 2024 announcement, release pending.
Current platform
Samsung Galaxy Watch (and Galaxy Ring)
Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring are biometric-primary devices with FDA-cleared cardiac and sleep AI on the Watch, recorded in the new biometric form factor. The Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra, both from July 2024, carry a BioActive sensor combining optical heart-rate, electrical ECG, and bioimpedance sensing, while the Galaxy Ring announced in July 2024 carries an accelerometer, optical heart-rate, and skin-temperature sensor for sleep, heart rate, and an Energy Score but has no ECG and no FDA-cleared medical features. The Watch's clearances, held through the Samsung Health Monitor app, are an on-demand ECG cleared in 2021, an Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification for atrial fibrillation announced in May 2023, and a sleep-apnea feature authorized via FDA De Novo on February 9, 2024 as the first such feature authorized by the FDA, for moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults 22 and older. A significant cap-flag applies to blood pressure: the Galaxy Watch's cuff-calibrated blood-pressure feature was available internationally for years but not FDA-cleared in the US, and when Samsung launched it to US users around March 31, 2026 it did so explicitly without FDA clearance under the agency's general-wellness low-risk-device policy, so it is a wellness carve-out rather than a medical clearance and marketing it as medical-grade blood pressure exceeds its regulatory status, while the Galaxy Ring carries no FDA-cleared medical features and should not be conflated with the Watch's clearances. The devices are sold by hardware purchase with no subscription, Samsung's clinical-validation posture is growing with a strong regulatory record but thinner independent peer-review than Apple, and the exact clearance number for the atrial-fibrillation feature and whether the US blood-pressure wellness launch will later pursue FDA clearance are not verified.

Explainers
Plain-language answers to the questions people ask about Samsung Electronics, from DEPLOY’s explainer library. Each is written in the language of the question and cross-checked against this registry.
- What is Samsung Galaxy Watch?
Samsung Galaxy Watch is Samsung's biometric wearable product line including Galaxy Watch 7 + Galaxy Watch Ultra + adjacent Galaxy Ring. ECG cleared 2021 + AFib detection 2023 + sleep apnea De Novo Feb 2024 (sleep apnea clearance structurally earlier than Apple Watch's later 2024 sleep apnea); cuff-calibrated BP feature cleared in Korea + EU markets but US carve-out wellness-grade. Per DEPLOY's biometric cluster framework, Samsung Galaxy Watch anchors the Korean-headquartered cohort entrant position with Korea + EU vs US clearance gradient; BP feature is the within-entity verified-vs-claimed exemplar at market-clearance scope.
