D-Wave is the world's first commercial quantum computing company and a pioneer in quantum annealing . Founded in 1999, D-Wave went public via SPAC merger in 2022 (NYSE: QBTS). In March 2025, D-Wave became the first company to demonstrate quantum supremacy on a useful real-world problem. Its Advantage2 quantum annealing system is deployed at multiple sites including USC ISI and Davidson Technologies (Huntsville, AL).
