US-based eVTOL company headquartered in Santa Ana, California, spun out from Karem Aircraft (founded by Abraham Karem, inventor of the Predator drone). Overair is developing the Butterfly, an all-electric tilt-rotor eVTOL using patented Optimum Speed Tiltrotor (OSTR) technology for efficient hover and cruise. Backed by Hanwha Systems of South Korea with $145M+ total investment. The Butterfly features four large tilting propellers designed for low noise and high efficiency.
