Verda (formerly DataCrunch)

Verda is a Helsinki-based European neocloud that rebranded from DataCrunch in November 2025 as it pivoted from a niche renewable-powered GPU rental shop into a full-stack AI cloud pitching itself as Europe's answer to CoreWeave. Founded in 2020 by Ruben Bryon, the company runs Nordic datacenters powered by hydro and wind and has climbed the Nvidia stack from H100 into H200, B200, B300, and GB300 NVL72 racks, becoming an Nvidia Preferred Partner in 2025.

The operator is smaller than the US mega-neoclouds but has scaled quickly on the back of European AI sovereignty demand and inference workloads. Its revenue run rate doubled to over $60 million in Q1 2026, per Dealroom, and after a $189 million round led by Emergence Capital in September 2026 the company says total funding exceeds $450 million. Named customers skew toward inference-heavy AI product companies (Magnific, ExpressVPN confidential compute) and robotics foundation-model work (1X), rather than hyperscaler overflow.

Verda publishes on-demand hourly rates directly, an unusually transparent posture for the neocloud tier: H100 at $3.25 per hour, H200 at $4.00, B200 at $6.11, and GB300 at $8.62 on-demand, with spot pricing at roughly half. It positions on European ownership, renewable power, and a Nordic buildout centered on a next-generation AI hub in Sundsvall, Sweden alongside existing Finnish capacity.
