Overview
The Robotic Systems Lab at ETH Zurich, led by Professor Marco Hutter, researches robots with arms and legs for rough and challenging environments, covering actuation, mobility, control and learning for locomotion and manipulation, and perception for autonomous navigation. It developed the ANYmal quadruped, which uses torque-controllable compliant actuators and was first applied to industrial inspection of oil and gas sites. ANYmal is commercialized by ANYbotics, founded in 2016 as an ETH Zurich spin-off.
