Ocado's Andover customer fulfilment centre (CFC 3) opened in late 2016 (The Grocer says November, Ocado says December). A fire that began on 5 February 2019 destroyed the site, sized at 240,000 sq ft by The Grocer and 225,000 sq ft by Ocado; Ocado attributed it to an electrical fault in a first-generation battery charging unit that ignited a bot's plastic lid.

Ocado rebuilt on the same site: a 217,000 sq ft CFC on the latest Ocado Smart Platform, scheduled for autumn 2021 with capacity for up to 59,000 deliveries a week. Ocado's history page records the Andover CFC reopening in 2021.
