The company was formed in 2020 as a joint venture backed by I Squared Capital and Bin Jiang Group, and today runs more than 20 facilities across Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and mainland China (Guangzhou and Nanjing).

Its center of gravity has shifted decisively toward Indonesia, where the June 2026 agreement with state utility PLN locked in 1.2 GW of power for a national AI infrastructure platform, the largest single power commitment ever secured by a data center operator in the country. The Jakarta-area CGK4 campus, launched in 2024, is designed to scale to 500 MW of renewable-powered capacity. BDx Indonesia is co-owned with Telkom Indonesia subsidiary NeutraDC and serves as the anchor for NVIDIA's sovereign-AI cloud deal with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Lintasarta.

Outside Indonesia, BDx runs three Hong Kong facilities (HKG1/2/8), a Singapore flagship whose freehold it acquired in March 2024, a Taipei site, and Chinese facilities in Guangzhou and Nanjing. Recent financing includes a US$320 million loan announced in April 2026 to accelerate AI-ready buildout across Asia, on top of a US$155 million DBS/OCBC facility raised in March 2024 and a 2025 Hong Kong expansion financing.
