OVHcloud

OVHcloud is Europe's largest homegrown cloud provider, founded in 1999 in Roubaix by Octave Klaba and floated on Euronext Paris in October 2021 under the ticker OVH. The company owns and operates 46 datacenters across 4 continents (with a dense European footprint plus North America and Asia-Pacific sites), running more than 400,000 servers for over 1.6 million customers. Unlike the pure-play GPU neoclouds that raised private capital in 2023-2024, OVHcloud is a full-stack public-cloud incumbent that assembles its own racks, builds its own immersion-cooled servers, and pitches itself as the sovereign European alternative to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Its AI positioning is inference-and-training-for-the-long-tail rather than hyperscale frontier training: the Public Cloud GPU catalog exposes Nvidia H200, H100, L40S, L4, A10, V100S, and RTX 5000 by the hour with published on-demand list prices (H100 from $2.99/hr, H200 from $49.56/hr for the full 141 GB SKU), and instances top out at 1-4 GPUs. There is no publicly disclosed total GPU count or MW figure. AMD Instinct is not offered. In 2025 OVHcloud partnered with SambaNova to add ultra-low-latency inference, acquired voice-AI startup Gladia and generative-AI shop Dragon LLM, and launched a Quantum Platform.

FY2025 (ending August 2025) was the year OVHcloud crossed one billion euros of revenue, with adjusted EBITDA margin above 40 percent and Q1 FY2026 organic growth of 6.0 percent tracking toward management's two billion euro medium-term target. Founder Octave Klaba retook the CEO role alongside chairman in October 2025, reuniting the seats that had been split under Benjamin Revcolevschi. Compared with the venture-funded neocloud pack, OVHcloud's distinguishing bets are sovereignty (SecNumCloud 3.2 certification), owned-fleet economics rather than colocation, and a very broad service catalog rather than a training-cluster specialty.
