How is an operator counted?

A site counts toward an operator if that company operates the facility (the operator of record) or develops the campus. A company that both operates facilities and develops a campus has each distinct site counted once, never twice.

Is this every operator?

It is the 864 operators attached to a reviewed, sourced site in the registry, not every landlord or tenant in the market. Sites whose operator is not yet attributed are excluded rather than guessed.

Campuses versus facilities, what is the difference?

A campus is a large, individually tracked AI-scale site with a capacity ledger. A facility is a colocation or hyperscale building attributed to its operator and city. Both count here; the table breaks each operator into its campus and facility totals.
